Choco spread

Too smart to keep it secret.

This chocolate spread is packed with all the nutrients wholegrain cereal have, this help to slow down sugars metabolism. It has a velvety texture with any fat and any sugar added. It actually has a lack: you have to plan you want to make it, because despite it’s easy and quick requires some soak.

You just need 3 ingredients and some water:

Dates 7 (up to 10 if you are not used to sugarfree food)
Black Venere Rice 100 g
Cocoa powder 25 g (up to 40 g to keep it healthy)

Do you know you should always wash both cereals and pulses (legumes) before cooking them? Some pulses have to soak as well.

So, wash the rice, drain it and blend it at high speed in order to turn it into powder.

Add 300 ml of water, blend again and pour it into a glass container. Scratch the sides and add 150 more ml to help you to clean the blender.

Let soak at room temperature for at least 6 hours (up to 12).

Pour the mixture in a deep saucepan and cook at minimum high for about 15 minutes, always stirring from the boiling points.

When cooked let it rest for 10 minutes, then blend again (a kitchen robot would be better as the batter is really dense) with dates and cocoa.

Once cooled down keep refrigerated up to 4 days.
